West Papua

Sta succedendo qualche cosa in West Papua, e in tutta la Nuova Guinea.

Riflessioni da fare:

Like Timor Leste (up until 1999), West Papua has been living under Indonesian violations of human rights against them. As this comment is being written, the attrocities committed against the West Papuans still persist. And you have asked to reflect on two questions. The first one would be that the West Papuans will continue to resist and fight against the Indonesian government and the military until the international community and the UN 'think' that it is a case of intervention.
Second, the Australian government is being a host country for some asylum seekers because it has no choice but to play the game and stay in the game of politics. Besides that, there are too much at stake in the Australian/Indonesian relationship. Austalia is forced to make decisions to favour both Indonesia and West Papuans. And from my point of view, it has to please Indonesia. Esmeralda
